Nathalie Bertrand

NATHALIE BERTRAND, Osteopathic Practitioner, Registered Massage Therapist

Nathalie has 25 years of experience of practicing multiple manual therapies since graduating from Foothills College of Massage Therapy in 2000. She completed a five year program at the Canadian School of Osteopathy in Vancouver in 2019 and has now joined Osteopathy BC Association after defending her research paper in the topic of the biospychosocial approach with chronic pain.

She focuses on releasing and resolving long term pain and conditions that have otherwise not responded to treatment. She believes in an approach focused on targeted tissue release, underlying causes and long-term change, rather than temporary symptom relief. She holds continuing education in the highest regard, and thoroughly enjoys the learning process of tailoring a treatment to the individual and discovering the root causes of physical imbalance, using a multi-angle perspective and strategies.

Nathalie treasures the communities she has come to know in the Columbia Kootenays. It is a pleasure to connect with so many outdoor enthusiasts, athletes, mothers and fathers, lightworkers, and health seekers at every stage in their journey.

ALEX RODRIGUE
Osteopathic Practitioner

Alex graduated as a Manual Osteopathic Practitioner from Collège d’Etudes Ostéopathiques à Montréal in 2020, and has been practicing since 2018. She holds a degree in kinesiology from Moncton University in New Brunswick

Before joining the team at Nourish, she worked at a sport medicine clinic and multidisciplinary centre in Québec and spent two years as part of the therapeutic support team for university athletics as a kinesiologist.

Alex is passionate about optimizing the physical potential of her clients, whether that’s with athletes looking to manage performance, or just regular people, from children to the elderly or through pregnancy, looking to move pain-free and feel well in their day-to-day lives.

She works with the philosophy of osteopathy by focusing on the body’s ability to heal itself by addressing the root of imbalances and uses her experience to support that natural process in each unique body.

With her trademark curiosity and empathic attention she looks forward to welcoming and supporting your goals for wellness in all areas of your life.

Health is a state of body. Wellness is a state of being.

KIMBERLY SALZGEBER R.A.
Chinese Medicine

Kimberly is a registered acupuncturist practicing Kiiko Matsumoto style acupuncture (KMS) in the Rocky Mountains of BC Canada.

Kimberly completed a double major Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine doctoral with an added internship at an intergraded Chinese western hospital in Mianyang China in 2011.

What defined Kimberly’s practice she has today was meeting renowned Japanese practitioners Kiiko Matsumoto and Monika Kobylecka in 2018 and learning this unique style.

During her first lecture Kimberly discovered how acupuncture can be practical, effective, and interactive; something a patient doesn’t have to believe is working, they can physically feel the change during the treatment.

Kimberly continues to study with Kiiko and Monika, she believes taking the time to study and learn is an important aspect of this medicine.

DEBBIE CHRISTIANSON
PEMF Practitioner, Certified Pilates Instructor, Health Coach and Life Coach

Debbie is a Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) practitioner. PEMF therapy offers a non-invasive way to reduce pain and inflammation, and sessions involve the painless application of electromagnetic fields to areas of the body via a specialized machine. Learn more about PEMF here.

Debbie discovered PEMF after an accumulation of injuries from mountain sports and competitive snowboarding left her looking for a solution to chronic pain. With a combination of PEMF, osteopathy, massage therapy, and mindfulness, she was able to break the chronic pain cycle and start getting back to the activities she loved.

The results she experienced from PEMF were profound, and she was amazed by the body’s own capacity to heal itself with the right assistance. After witnessing first-hand many other people improve and heal various health conditions with the help of PEMF therapy, she felt compelled to complete her training so she could share it with others.

Debbie is passionate about helping others expand their capacity and find a sense of peace in their bodies, whether through sport, fitness, nutrition, or mindfulness. She is both excited and honoured to share her passion and curiosity for all that this therapy holds with the community of Golden.

She is also a certified Pilates instructor, a health coach, and life coach.

Your body holds deep wisdom. Trust in it. Listen to it. Learn from it. Nourish it. Watch your life transform and be happy.

SARAH SIMONE ANDERSON
Doula, Reiki Master,
Sex Educator

Simone is Sarah’s middle name. It is the name of her maternal grandmother. The egg that created her was already fully formed in her mother’s ovaries while she was a fetus in her mother’s womb, Sarah’s grandmother. Birth is ancient and generational and in our DNA! However we’ve lost some of our cultural practices such as attending and supporting births within family, so Sarah has brought back that practice by becoming a doula. Sarah will be your sister or auntie guiding you through this amazing initiation and journey that it is to become a mother (or become a mother again).

Sarah is also trained as a Yoga Teacher, specializing in prenatal and postnatal work, with years of experience working as a professional dancer and aerialist; Reiki Master; Family & Systemic Constellations Facilitator; and Tantra Teacher. She is currently completing a graduate certificate in sexual health. Sarah’s energy work includes her spiritual practices and techniques working with the nervous system to release trauma. She also performs a very special and healing womb-blessing. It is her wish that you feel whole and serene within yourself and will reflect back your innate beauty to you.

ANNA URBAN
Birth Story Mentoring

Hi, my name is Anna and I am in my final stages of study and certification as both a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and a Birth Story Mentor. I bring with me a history of science and a lifelong curiosity and exploration about family, relationships and motherhood. I am happy to present to you the breadth of what I now offer.

The most common question I hear is “What is Birth Story Mentoring?” In a nutshell, Birth Story Mentoring is for those who have given birth, or witnessed a birth, where there was an unexpected or unwanted turn of events that a person needs support in. In a Birth Story Mentoring session, we enter a process where you can gain new insights and perspectives that help you on your way to finding peace again.

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a modality where one learns about their nervous system, and in doing so come to a place where change, in the form of resolving trauma patterns or other symptom relief can happen. My commitment and focus is pre and perinatal trauma resolution. I do also offer general SE sessions that are not related to the pre- and perinatal period.

For a short time, I am offering my Birth Story Mentoring sessions for $20 as a promotion for you, and I am offering SE Sessions in bundles of three (one hour each) for $99 (as an introductory offer). I am also training as a Childbirth Educator and Doula, so if you are pregnant and would like to work with me for some doula support or some 1 on 1 preparation sessions, please reach out, I would love to help.

Courage is to be willing to feel unsure and uncomfortable, and then step into the unknown.
